Read a lot of the reviews and was frankly quite nervous until I saw one that sounded like Koze has ascended the opening days jitters. My husband and I had dinner, we sat in the bar and had a really nice experience. The bar has a cool vibe, good music, Lychee martini was yummy and trendy lighting. The service was attentive, friendly and quick. We had crab wontons (very good), spring rolls (good but similar to others), my husband had cashew chicken (huge portion, very fresh ingredients and good flavor) and I had Masaman curried chicken (fabulous sauce, put my rice in the bowl and enjoyed it like a soup). Definitely give this place a chance, we need more fun places. Liked the food as much as Baan Thai (and we have been going there for yrs).

I would not go here again even if it was free. I would rate this no stars if I could. I am still so angry about my experience that I was motivated to write my first review - of anything - EVER. My friends and I made reservations for Koze on New Years Eve 2014 in the bar - although we didn't really need to because the restaurant was not busy at all ( 3 - 4 tables occupied on average and 3 or so people sitting at the bar itself). We ordered appetizers that we never received. Waited over 30 minutes for the only ordered alcoholic drink - beer (huh?). One of us, my boyfriend, ordered the lobster special, and received his "special" over an hour after the rest of us FINISHED our food - and only after I spoke to the waiter, the manager, and my boyfriend speaking to 2 managers and 4 different waitstaff about this. I received my food, then got my salad. My Green curry, while very delicious was very spicey, making me sweat (ordered medium) while my friend's fried rice was barely spicey at all (ordered HOT). I honestly cannot believe this was our experience - its almost as if I was not in my own body. I remember when I first went up to talk to the manager about my boyfriend not receiving his food - that it was weird and the manager just seemed really awkward like I was supposed to fix the problem. To top it all off, no one visited out table - EVER - to apologize and talk with us. Keep in mind, that I had already gotten up and spoken to someone twice - and my boyfriend had gotten up and talked to 6 different people. I will NEVER EVER eat there again. The only way I would have is if they had completely comped our meal. We receieved a 40% discount on our food. and no aplolgy. I am not a flamer, complainer and generally hate confrontation. My boyfriend is a kind hearted easy going fellow. If someone had been decent enough or even knew enough about customer service to stop by our table and say - Look, we meessed up, we're having some difficulty gettig things worked out, what can we do to make this better - I think all of us would have eventually felt the food was justification enough to try Kose again. However, no one ever did this. They dropped off a free appetizer after we were all full (except for my boyfriend who was waiting for his food) - and said nothing and were so awkward it made us uncomfortable. Addtionally, after My boyfriend finally recieved his lobster special - it looked awful and was SO NOT WORTH THE WAIT, by the way - we received a free dessert. Again, dropped off by our absentee server with no words, just dropped and left. I swear we were not mean to anyone. I was very nice, and so was my boyfriend. I swear! I am flabbergasted. Who is running this place? We all left rather angry and almost insulted by the lack of consideration during our visit. Thank goodness for great company - they made the evening worth it in the end. Eeeeeek.

I don't have a whole lot of good or bad things to say about this place. It was ok. I was slightly annoyed that when the hostess tried to seat us right by the kitchen when the restaurant was practically empty. She asked if the booth was ok....uh nope! Then she asked if my 4 and 6 year old would like a menu. I asked if there was a children's menu and she said " I think there might be one in there." Okey Dokey. On a side note, there was a very expensive children's menu. I consider $8.99, for kid's chicken fried rice, expensive. So we opted to get the adult chicken fried rice for our kids to share because it was less expensive and the adult version had vegetables whereas the kids one did not, which. I still don't understand why restaurants have to completely dumb down food for kids, many kids like vegetables and real food. Other than that, our dinner was fine. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai. It was decent, I have had better. My kids liked their Chicken Fried Rice WITH vegetables. The Thai tea and starter soup were excellent. Our server, although obviously inexperienced, was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and had nice decor.

I had the mansalan with pork and white rice at mild heat. It was very good other than the veggies and pork being large pieces making it difficult to eat. Also I got a house cocktail which was good but a little too strong for my taste. The best part about dinner was the atmosphere in the bar section. It was very cool and modern. The restaurant as a whole was very appealing to the eye. I will be back to try other dishes.

Update. We have now eaten lunch or dinner here at least 6 or 7 times with friends and family, and I hosted a large group dinner in their charming lounge. Out of 27 meals, 25 were raved about and devoured and 2 were disappointing. Service is ok. We have noticed that we never see the same servers twice... They have expanded the lunch menu and there are plans to do the same for the dinner menu. I have never had Massaman Curry as delicious as I have at Koze!

Went here on a business trip. First time in Fort Wayne. Happy to find some AUTHENTIC Thai! Ate at the bar with co-workers & my go-to is Chicken Pad See-Ew, here spelled Pad Z U. We were chatting with the bartender & he recommended to us to order medium, that's what he does. I didn't take into account that he's Asian & Thai is supposed to be hot. I usually ADD heat to my Thai & Vietnamese dishes back east, I don't need to for Szechuan or Indian. Their medium is more like a Medium-Hot, like a 7.5, not a 5 or 6 where you get a rest from the heat. You still get a hint of the sweet of the soy sauce, but the heat hits you almost immediately. One of my co-workers ordered the Hot & added heat to it - he was sweating a bit. We also ordered the Fresh spring rolls, with a very cooling peanut sauce. I was happy that I had one left over to cleanse my pallet. The bartender said that is one of their biggest complaints - the the food is too spicy. Definitely would come back, if/when I'm back in town, but I'm ordering the mild & adding my own level of heat; I'd be more comfortable with a notch or two down. Oh, and they even have, what they call "Thai Hot", beyond the Mild, Medium, & Hot, just in case you are adventurous.

No idea why ft Wayne people are staying away, my husband and I ate here tonight HUGE portions well priced. Very fresh and tasty!!

The manager was uber friendly and accommodating; the server seemed a bit annoyed that we questioned the chicken satay and seemed to ditch us because of it. (More on that to follow) The pad thai, pad z u, panang curry were delicious although the beef was tough to chew. They offered to cook the curry with a bit more coconut milk because it's the spiciest I've ever had. All in all, we were satisfied with the meal but felt the prices were high for lunch (dinner menu only on sat/sun). Regarding the satay: the dish pictured shows about 4-5 small skewers on a plate. We were served 2 skewers each with nearly a full breast of chicken. We were told it's served by "weight", whatever that means. It was impossible to share. Lame excuse for not properly cutting the pieces in the kitchen. So one less star for the bother. We'd probably go back for the weekly lunch specials or a special occasion only.

Was in for dinner a couple of days ago - our 2nd time here. I again had the chicken satay appetizer (delish yet again). I split the fried spring rolls (yummy) and vegetable and tofu fried rice (yummy) with the wifey. My solo entree was the chicken pad thai which was quite good - well-sauced and clearly made by someone who knows his/her business. Koze keep it up and Fort Wayners come get some great Thai food.

This was our first time here and it was early;11:30am for lunch. Nicely appointed; friendly staff. The food was beautiful to behold. It was very good; too salty for my liking; could have been warmer. The server was very nice but so new she wasn't versed on the cuisine or how to inform us about the potential "heat" available... or for which selections it applied. I will try it again sometime.

I love Thai food so when this new place popped up, where Ocharley's used to be on Lima, I had to give it a whirl. We ordered 2 Tom Yum soups, one chicken & one shrimp, and a side of sticky rice. Although both were tasty, I like when I can have the soup as my main course & this was just a small bowl with no rice included. Anyone who has had real Tom Yum in the pot paired with a plate of rice would understand. The biggest problem we encountered was a dark short hair (think eyelash) in the rice when we opened the container. They immediately took it away and took it off the bill so I appreciated that.... Still off putting. So, it's a nice, fancy Thai restaurant and I'm glad I gave it a try. I still think Pad Thai on State Blvd is number one and Bangkok Thai & Sushi Bar on Jefferson is a close second. Just my humble opinion! ;)))

Really good food. Service was good. Very nice atmosphere. There are better Thai restaurants in town but this is a good one too. Only real down fall is that it's pretty expensive. This is not going to be a cheap option for Thai food, but it is good food.

Wonderful Secor and ambience excellent and courteous service. Our bartender and waiter Ricky was very friendly and humorous too. Ordered pad z Thai and basil rice. Delicious. Had a pure Malbec 2012. Just perfect for my liking. Recommend strongly and will come here again during my next trip.

My only complaint would be slightly slow service however that could be due to being a very new restaurant. The food was lovely very well rounded favors full of life that danced in your mouth. Good drinks and kind staff with a beautiful setting to enjoy.

Don't be fooled by the cosmopolitan aesthetics of this restaurant bar. The customer service was bad probable because the servers are still in high school. I ordered stuffed chicken wings as appetizer, scallops and shrimp in ginger sauce for my main course, and a side of white rice and roti. I originally ordered a side of fried rice but Nate suggested that if I get white rice which comes with the dish, I can get another side instead. With his suggestion, I ditched the fried rice, and ordered white rice and roti instead. The appetizer was decent but the main course was not good. There were only three pieces of scallop and two pieces of shriveled shrimps. Nate, my server, got confused with my side order which he himself has suggested. I had to remind Nate of the white rice that he forgot to serve, and it took him another 5 minutes to serve it. After about 10 minutes, he served me the side of fried rice which I reminded him that I decided not to order upon his recommendation. I had to explain to him his own suggestion when I ordered. In the end, he agreed to cancel the side order of fried rice which he admitted was his own mistake.

Good portions for the price. Nice, new, and clean inside. Service was quick and friendly. Food was great (Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Stir Fry). Our son's chicken nuggets were pretty good too!

The first time I went to Koze on their grand opening night, the kitchen loaded up our food with so much spice that my entire family left without eating and went to get ice cream. It was very unpleasant we also waited 2 hours to get the awful food. But the next time I went I had a good experience and the food was pretty good. I feel like it could have more of a authentic thai taste though. This place really lacks consistency so far. It's hit or miss. Sometimes I'll have a great experience and sometimes the servers will forget to give us spoons or have no idea how to describe a dish and have difficulty communicating. Hopefully as this restaurant gets established things will get better.

As I'm Thai, I can tell the food here are good. I understand they just opened and the system hasn't perfect. I was kinda mad that the food took so long, but after we had the food we were acceptable. I will just give them more time to improve the system cause the food and drink were good then I could be back again.

We just left this restaurant without getting our food. I've never had that happen before. Our waiter was apologetic but no manager apology and they weirdly enough seemed happy that we were leaving. They were not that busy. We are pretty chill folks. 2 hours we waited for our appetizer. It never came. We just told them if we don't get our food in the next 5 minutes we are leaving. He came promptly with our check. Everyone's food that we saw looked unappealing. Don't go. They should rename it "Cloze'". This place will be done in a month.

I was very pleased and a little surprised how fresh and quick our food came out Tried several appetisers 5 out of 6 for our table was top notch with our entire table Food was very flavorful and great quality Glad we waited and came after they went through opening week adjustments Great option in Ft Wayne Give it a try

Service good - courteous and responsive. Food good but not outstanding. More Americanized Asian than try Thai. Today is their official first day of business and it's worth giving this"non-chain" a chance!

I didn't have high expectations based on the reviews, but I had the drunken noodles, and I enjoyed it a lot. It's a slight fusion, but as long as the ingredients match well and they are healthy items, I am good to go.

I don't know if they have the bugs out of this place or not. They haven't been open very long. Our server was good I will say that.. Our crab rangoon was okay and the spring rolls.okay. I ordered the Beef Noodle bowl. The beef was not as I though. And I had to ask for some spice to nake the broth taste good. The "greens " in the broth were very thick with undercooked stems. Hard to eat. The thin slices of brocoli stems were very hard also. they needed cooked a bit more, NOT mushy, but at least edible. My Husband shrimp and scallops were very alrge. Nice touch there. He said it was good. Very pricey though could not afford to eat there very much. May go back after they get the cooks to put out better dishes. May try again in 6 months or so if they are still there..

Worst dining experience and I have never complained before. Rude, clueless, inattentive servers. Appetizers never arrived. My own meal arrived over an hour after my table finished eating! Spoke with 6 different people before I finally got my food, like it was some practical joke. No apology from anyone or acknowledgement of mistakes. Never again will I dine here.

I love thai food and I have had a hard time finding a restaurant that comes close to my all time favorite thai place which is a dozen hours away from Fort wayne SO when I ate here I was very excited to discover that this place is just as good. I recommend dat pad thai, extra hot :)

Food was amazing! Plenty of spice. Service was decent. Great place for a nice dinner or a quick lunch. Only thing is the hours are totally unreliable. A resturant should be in my opinion, ussual business hours and days. Not closed on random days of the week.

My first visit here. I like the decor and layout. Pretty spacious with a large bar area. The staff is friendly and use a tablet to take your order. I ordered the masama with pork and a Thai tea. It was quite tasty. I also had the crab wantons and they were light and almost baked like, instead of greasy like most places. The staff was very good and attentive. We had different staff members help with refills and removing dishes. Our waitress, Alyssa, was very good overall. The atmosphere and decor is very good. The food was good, but a little Americanized. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Thai, but not overly authentic Thai. Oh, and the hot spice level was not that hot. Try Thai hot instead.

This is the second time I have been here. It is getting better. The restaurant has not really taken off in popularity so it is still easy-in-easy-out. They accommodated a larger party well. The waitress was friendly and knew the menu. We ordered a variety of appetizers - most all were good but small. The garden rolls and shumai were very good. I had a curry dish which seemed a bit watered down. My wife had Pad Thai and she loved it. Keep trying this place if you haven't been there yet.

Went here for a late lunch on my wife's birthday, just the two of us and our three year old daughter. I was not at all impressed with the server or food. We were seated immediately by a hostess, the restaurant was empty except for one table some staff were sat at and another table with two guys nursing beers. Our server came over after a couple of moments to get our drinks order. I got a Thai Coffee and my wife a Thai Tea. The point when I started getting irritated was when our server smirked and condescendingly told us that our drinks would not come with free refills. I hadn't expected it to. I did a double take on what I was wearing just to check I didn't come out in my pyjamas or something, nope, I was dressed smart casual as it was my wife's BIRTHDAY and we were at a restaurant. He brought the drinks along with a water each. He then made a big deal that he would allow us an extra straw so as not to have to keep putting my coffee straw in the water. Erm, yeah, thanks, that wouldn't have been an issue. I ordered two app's while we looked at the rest of the menu. (Thai Basil rolls and crab rangoon). The rolls tasted a lot like a handful of lettuce in a sticky wrapper. The crab rangoon was fine, especially with the sweet chili dip, only complaint was the complete lack of crab. More like cream cheese rangoon. The menu is very lacking. And our server was quite happy to not explain anything at all. Apparently you can choose what meat you get on your soup, that's great, maybe put that on the menu. Oh and the Chef's special comes with an extra side, maybe mention that too. You also get a mini soup, also not mentioned. Fried Rice, Curry and Noodles also do not show that you're supposed to choose the protein to go with it...they like to put you on the spot with that. Knowing that would have actually changed my choice, but, whatever. My wife got the Chef's Special Duck, served with white rice and a choice of Basil or Panang sauce, she went with panang. Our server then huffed that she needed to choose a side, pointed to the other side of the menu and then rolled his eyes in impatience. She ordered green beans. I ordered the drunken noodles and asked for them to be spicy. I was then told I needed to order which meat I wanted, I asked if I could upgrade to the shrimp and calamari but that was met with confusion and umming and ahhing, so I said to just give me pork. Finally I ordered for my three year old, the kids menu was horrible: Chicken nuggets, Mac and Cheese, pizza or fried rice. All at $5. Drinks extra. I know my daughter very well (obviously) and know exactly what she will and will not eat, so I ordered her the Tom Yum soup. The server indicated that she wouldn't want that as it is very spicy and not really for children. I said I'd like the Tom Yum soup. Again, he wanted to know what meat in it, with a bigger smirk this time. We got chicken. The duck was absolutely horrible. It was more like a breaded pork tenderloin covered in peanut butter sauce. The green beans were also way under cooked. I wanted to send it back, but my wife didn't want the hassle. My Drunken noodles were gloopy, over cooked and sloppy. On top of which they had lots of onions in them, something I had specifically looked for in the ingredient list on the menu and wasn't supposed to be in the Drunken noodles. The pork itself was fine. But, it wasn't spicy. The server offered to bring a condiment tray which I'm sure would have been fun if I was in the mood for that. My daughters soup was the best thing we ordered, fresh, clean and just as I'd expected it to be. It was however served scalding hot. My daughter had to blow on each bite for quite a while before being able to eat it and required help due to the temperature. The server asked how things were and my daughter decided to answer him the the soup was too hot, he very smugly smiled and said how he'd tried to tell Daddy how spicy it was. I explained to him how she'd actually been stuffing her face with my 'extra spicy' noodles while waiting for her just off boiling soup to cool. In summation, mostly sub standard food from what we ordered. Smug condescending wait staff. Nice looking restaurant. Slightly confusing menu.

Our first visit. Food was delicious but the service was very slow. Our order was also served wrong. Rather expensive compared to the portion sizes. Will try again but I hope the service is better.

Slow slow service, mediocre food. Nice modern decor. There are much better choices for Thai food elsewhere.
